Completion of supercomputer "Tomitake" Start of sharing Research projects are also being recruited
The supercomputer "Tomitake," which RIKEN and Fujitsu have been developing and maintaining since 2014, was completed on March 9, and started to be shared with industry and academia from the same day. We are also open to the public for research projects using Tomitake.
Tomitake was developed as a successor to the supercomputer "K computer". In the supercomputer performance rankings "TOP500", "HPCG", "HPLAI", and "Graph500", it has won the number one position in the world for two consecutive terms in June and November 2008.
Initially, it was planned to start full-scale operation in 2021, but in order to contribute to research on the new coronavirus infection, trial operation was started in April 2008, and simulations of how droplets spread have been conducted.
The Research Organization for Information Science and Technology (RiST) is soliciting the use of Tomitake by researchers, etc., and adopted 74 projects in 2021. From March 9th, we have started accepting applications for small-scale issues and application operation verification issues, and you can apply from the HPCI website .
