NEW GOOGLE UPDATE FEBRUARY 2020? YES AND NO
Nothing has been officially confirmed by Google, how it usually does lately when there are important updates of the algorithm. So in principle, there is no core update.
However, the large fluctuations that most niches are suffering, make us think the opposite. Something is happening and Google says nothing ... And it is not that we rely on four blocks that have lost traffic, it is that the most prestigious SEO tools confirm this as well.
Great movements in the Serps
S earch E ngine R esults P age refers to the results that Google shows us when we search for something, that is, the search results with a certain keyword (technical words of SEO terminology ).
Let's start with Mozcast , an excellent movement indicator that shows us results in the form of meteorological loss. Which shows us that since February 7, there are great movements (storms).
We can continue with Semrush , which also tells us that there are many movements these days, compared to the previous cycle.
And I could show you graphs of all the tools I have, but it would be boring because they all show exactly the same. A great movement in the SERPS since last February 7 of this year 2020 .
Another great update of the algorithm?
In my humble opinion, no. Google tells us the big changes and that is something that is highly valued. But of the small changes, it says nothing at all ... never.
Apparently, these are changes that have actually occurred in the algorithm and that have somehow affected large-scale. Something that possibly not even Google expected .
But we all know how this goes, they implement a change, they observe results and then make the appropriate corrections. After the one that has gotten involved with this ... I am totally convinced that during the next few days we will continue to appreciate more important changes (as they will be applying corrections).
Other feasible options
It is also possible that it is not a correction in the main algorithm, but the update of the many bots that Google has examining and valuing websites. We talk about bots as important as panda, penguin or even a higher rating for websites that simply have a faster mobile upload speed .
Let's not forget that Google has already inserted the web speed into Search Console, experimentally if ... but there it is.
Hopefully in the next few days everything will be normalized or someone from the Google team will give us new clues about what is happening. Meanwhile ... we just have to wait and NOT touch anything until the waters calm down (don't make the mistake of going crazy).
