software maker Microsoft has announced that it will add e-mail address in
Bangla on the occasion of Ekushey February International Mother Language Day.
On February 21, a blog post reported on Microsoft In that blog post, the e-mail
address is said to support 15 languages. These include Bengali, Hindi, Bodo,
Dogri, Konkani, Maithili, Marathi, Nepali, Sindhi, Gujarati, Manipuri, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu.
Microsoft has
said that local language e-mail addresses can be used for Outlook accounts. The
PC, Outlook.com, Android and iOS platforms allow you to exchange e-mails in the
local language. Other services of Microsoft, such as Office 365, Exchange
Online, exchange online protection and e-mail apps
will also be
available.
As part of the
Microsoft e-mail address Internationalization (EAI), this topic is being added
to support the new language, Microsoft said. Microsoft says that languages in
the Indian region are not much more online. In India, 447 languages are spoken.
However, there is no Indian language in the Top 50 Top Digital Languages list.
But 8 percent of the internet users are Indians.
Microsoft
India's Chief Operating Officer Mital Patel said that the language should not
be obstructed in the adoption of technology, it has been confirmed. The
advantage of creating an e-mail in 15 languages is one of the steps for
creating modern communication. This will make using e-mail easier. The
languages that support the international encoding standard are Unicode.
Microsoft uses partner of Internet Corporation of Assigned Names and Numbers
(ICANN) to make the Internet more user-friendly.
In the past
month, Microsoft has launched real-time or instant translation services in
Bangla, Hindi, and Tamil using their artificial intelligence and neural
networks.
